Fences and what they keep in

Here is my fence for Thursday. Your typical barb wire fence. It sure was fun to string the wire down hill! Check out some other fences and gates here Run Around Ranch

This is what the fence keeps in, most of the time!

Yesterday we had a crazy, wild wind, rain and thunder storm come through. It was wild! Blowing rain sideways! It didn't last but a few hours. I LOVE a good storm.

Clouds and a partial rainbow before the storm moved in.

A fiery, angry sunset after the storm.

Thanks for stopping by.

  3. We don't put in miles of fences but it still has to be done. I heard Spokane got a huge wind storm--70mile and hour. Yipes. I like a good storm too until a tree falls on the house. haha!
Sky shots are beautiful and that sunset is breathtaking. M

  7. Cheri,
Good fences make good neighbors! You know that as well as anyone.

Glad to hear you got some moisture. I hope the wind and hard rain didn't have any white stuff in it or do any damage.

We got another shower last night.

    Hope your weekend is fabulous!

  8. BEAUTIFUL photos and you should try building rail fence down hill. There is a lot of sliding that goes on. Love ranching and I know you do too it is always a challenge. Happy about your rain I need about a week worth of dry to keep baling:) Have a nice weekend. Hug B

  12. Putting up fence or repairing it in your neck of the woods is a little different than in the flatlands of South Central Kansas. While there are plenty of places in Kansas that have fences up and down hills, it's not here where I live. :-) I loved your sky photos, too. Take care, Cheri!

  15. That's a pretty big hill to fence. We have mostly barbwire fences as well and lots and lots of it and its always needing a repair somewhere.
Pretty sunset the storms sure bring out the colors

  16. Oh, my goodness...Love, love, love these shots...and I agree, there is nothing quite like a good storm. I have always loved them, minus one where I was actually a little bit scared. I feel like it blows the cobwebs from my mind, settles the dust, and brings a fresh smell to the earth.

  17. Oh my- that looks wicked. We've had some of those wierd storms here lately too. I don't much like the wild ones...I will settle for a good slow rain anytime...no hail, no wind.
