Horses in the mist.

Gathered horses so we could move the steer pairs down 2 pastures. We are shipping them on Wednesday. The horses can be little stinkers at times.

I don't know if you remember the little calf, Talkatoo? We spliced her on a cow that lost a calf. Here she is with her mama.

And here she is as a little squirt.

The old barn cat stalking a pheasant rooster. Keep dreamin' buddy.

Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I like the second picture, Cheri! Hope moving cattle went well. Best wishes for shipping day.

We are moving pairs home several days next week. A sure sign of fall.

The Rancher and I made it to the Big City today. I am ready for winter with 2 pairs of new snow pants. I am keeping my old pair on hand for fence fixing. All I have to do is wear my new snow pants and look at barbed wire and I will be mending them.

    1. The big pipes on the trucks seem to be just a resonator, so they do have a rumble. I have seen twin pipes more.

  5. I have a bunch of comments for several of your last posts, so I'll put them all here.... puppies! How did I miss that post! So if Poop is a BS, who is the daddy? You said he is a hanging tree, pardon my denseness but does that mean you'll hang him if he stops by again? ;o)
The photos of the deer all backlit by the sun were just beautiful.
Hope you get good prices on your steers.
Do you hunt any of the turkeys or pheasant? Nothing like a home grown Thanksgiving dinner, just sayin'!
    Ummm... more puppy pics. please!

  7. Although we don't have horses or cows anymore...I do remember the day. Getting a horse to corral-up can be a pain..they take off running and giving you the 'fart'...just because they can! Cows not wanting to get back in after they got out can really run also. And they KNOW where they got out they are just are not going to go back in where you want them too.

I love that calf...good thing you got the cow to take her...sometimes that is a chore in itself.

Pheasants...we don't have any any more since the DOW introduced the FOX.

  9. Talkatoo is so cute!...I know how the computer problems go...mine usually goes bad right in the middle of something important or right when I need it fast...lol...It's finally cooled off here in Oklahoma in 30's last night....It'll be time to break the icy pond water before too long...That barn cat looks determined...
