Not Good?
We've been having such gorgeous weather, I decided to go poke around in the yard. My Snow Drops are starting to bloom. They usually do this time of year. These little precious flowers signify the down slope towards spring. I also have daffodils popping outta the ground! Not good! Winter doesn't usually hit here until mid February! I hope my daffs don't freeze out! :(
Snow Drops
Daffodils starting.
So, here's to Spring!
Thanks for stopping by.
It must look good to see new shoots appearing. I can smell them! These early plants seem to have what it takes to withstand cold weather.
ReplyDeleteYour Snow Drops are so cute. Our Daffs and Even tulips are coming up. Usually they will come up so far and then stall out and wait but you know it has been so mild. Hopefully March won't bring out the big frost like usual. Went down in the Valley today and even the big fields the bulbs are popping up. YIKES!!!

That is a late winter - it really doesn't usually start until February? I am wanting more snow until I am finally ready for spring :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to go check my flower beds, it has been mild here most of the winter too. We usually get snow in February, but the worst of the cold should be gone now.
ReplyDeleteWe have been in the 30's to 40's most of the winter but we have had some darn pretty cold days, and next week it supposed to get back down into the teens during the day and single digits at night. Your snow drops are pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe have had an unusually cold early winter. I'm afraid I may have lost my hibiscus tree. Your flowers are so pretty and perky. Hope they make it through your late winter freezes.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Snow Drop. What a beautiful flower. It's been really nice here too. Almost like spring, and it's kinda scary because it could ruin a fruit tree crop if it continues and then freezes again. Who knows!
ReplyDeleteI just checked outside ...our ground is still frozen, nothing popping up.

I can't believe they are popping up already! I don't think ours are with the weather we have been having...we will have fairly nice weather a day or two then it goes back to bitter cold. I guess that is how it always has been and I just notice it more now.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the dafodils!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
I missed your snowdrops photos since I was gone when you posted last week. I love signs of spring, but I'm with you: I don't want the beautiful things to get nipped in the bud. (That's kind of a metaphor for life, now that I think about it!) Enjoy your weekend!
