A few videos from Cameron's phone.
Noisy cows heading into the sorting lot.
Bringing out a pair. We bring them out one at a time
so we get a good look at mama and baby. Looking for
a straight, clean, calm mama. A clean, calm pretty heifer.
The "old guy" still going strong at 76! Pushing non keeping heifers out through
the corrals.
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh I love your videos. Oh they do look very calm. I love the sounds in the top one:) 76 wow I am impressed. Great post be careful. Hug B
ReplyDeleteLots of fun being in a fog. Sounds like you have it down well, always good to have some seasoned help.A neighbor still gets out, but is more a fixture at 90. Fun to listen to him while working.
ReplyDeleteFoggy or not, it's always interesting to see what's going on at the ranch.
ReplyDeleteEarly autumn days. Your father in-law is the tops. We should all be like him!

I really like the mist in the first shots!
ReplyDeleteAnd those cows do make noise!
Good help is hard to find, Cheri. Good ranchers, smart horses and well trained dogs are a blessing to work with.
ReplyDeleteThe old wives tail is 90 days after fog a major weather event will happen. We had fog two weeks ago. I guess we'll see what December brings us.
J treated a couple calves this morning. Friday and Saturday was in the upper 80's. Today a front came through, wind and 67*. The evenings are in the 40's. A bit extreme for calves.
I will have to come back to see the videos...but sure was a foggy day to work in...
ReplyDeleteLooks cold with all that fog. Seems like a good way to do that. I wish we could sort on horseback but our corrals are made for people, kinda makes me sad :(
ReplyDeleteOh I love these! Watching what you all do on your ranch! Glad to see you back!
